This piece is made of saturations. Of exaggerations. Of stamina-based arguments. Few silences, many cuts. A news feed in newspeak, (from \/ to) my echo chamber, between a musical metaphor and a mimetic narration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This piece is made of archetypes, of their memories. Of misled expectations. Of comforting predictability. Of meandering and fl\u00e2neries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This piece is made of repetitions. Mediatised, edited, amplified, hyperreal, humdrum, dramatized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biography & website<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Pierre Alexandre Tremblay (Montr\u00e9al, 1975) is a composer and performer on bass guitar and electronic devices, in solo and group settings, between electroacoustic music, contemporary jazz, mixed music and improvised music. He also worked in popular music, and practises creative coding. His music is available on empreintes DIGITALes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He studied composition with Michel T\u00e9treault, Marcelle Desch\u00eanes, and Jonty Harrison; bass guitar with Jean-Guy Larin, Sylvain Bolduc, and Michel Donato; analysis with Michel Longtin and St\u00e9phane Roy; and studio technique with Francis Dhomont, Robert Normandeau, and Jean Pich\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pierre Alexandre is currently Professor of Composition and Improvisation at the University of Huddersfield (England, UK). He likes spending time with his family, reading prose, and going on long walks. As a founding member of the no-tv collective, he does not own a working television set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
