Please ensure that you do not infringe the copyrights of other&#8217;s work.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For full instructions on how to use wordpress, you should visit the\u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\" href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wordpress.org<\/a>\u00a0homepage where how to use the site is explained.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Getting_Started_with_WordPress\" href=\"http:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Getting_Started_with_WordPress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">codex.wordpress.org\/Getting_Started_with_WordPress<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As a student using the wordpress site, you\u2019ll have the role of an editor (as opposed to an contributor, admin or subscriber). Editors can add posts and pages and upload images, sounds, add links, embed youtube and soundcloud links etc. You can\u2019t change themes or the fundamental structure of the site. This is for the site admins (your project supervisor) to do.<\/p>\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve been allocated to your group, please email your project supervisor your EASE username and they will then give you access to the blog for the project that you\u2019re working on.<\/p>\n<p>Using a wordpress site is easy, however, there are two significant distinctions to make about\u00a0<em>posts<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>pages<\/em>. When you create a\u00a0<strong>page<\/strong>, this a permanent, static item that should not change much once published and will host specific useful information that people may frequently need. The page you are on now is a wordpress \u201cpage\u201d.\u00a0 For more information about pages, read this;\u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Pages\" href=\"http:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Pages\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">codex.wordpress.org\/Pages<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Posts<\/strong>\u00a0are different and belong inside \u201ccategories\u201d. You have freedom to add and delete categories, but every post you make should be categorised into at least one category, the category is the place where a post is kept and found.<strong>\u00a0 Categories<\/strong>\u00a0show\u00a0<strong>posts<\/strong>\u00a0as part of an ongoing collection of information that is usually presented with the most recent at the top of the list. The site is navigated via its static pages and by its categories but not by individual blog posts.
