In Karlheinz Stockhausen\u2019s <em>Studie II<\/em>, and <em>Gesang der J\u00fcnglinge<\/em>, sounds as short as 0.05 seconds were designed and had to be realised with particular frequencies, dynamics and envelope shapes.
