If you intend to undertake research that involves interviews, questionnaires, observation studies, or ethnographic research then you will need to consider research ethics, the integrity of your research, and security. The latter apples to research (desk-based web search as well as fieldwork) that investigates terrorist or other illegal practices or organisations.
