The Reid School of Music’s ensemble in residence Plus Minus will give two concerts at the festival this year. They’re bringing the fabulous Vicky Wright (clarinet), Mark Knoop (piano), Katarzyna Ziminska (violin) and Justin Quinn (electric guitar) to play the following:
Concert one on Tuesday 6 July, 7:30pm will feature University of Edinburgh alumna Georgia Rodgers’ St Andrew’s Lyddington for violin and piano, a new piece by University of Edinburgh PhD student, John Panagiotou called UMWELT for video projection, violin, electric guitar, piano and electonics. Also on the bill are two very new works by Eva Aguilar and Martin Parker.
Concert two on Wednesday 7 July, 7pm will feature Matthew Shlomowitz’ Lecture about Bad Music, a 50-55 minute illustrated talk/musical performance about just that. Plus Minus will also be joined by Edinburgh based artist Mamoru Iriguchi.
