This was the the opening concert in our Autumn season of new music and sound design. We premiered a random sampling of new work by graduates of the MSc in Digital Composition and Performance: Stewart Houston, John McAreavey and Marcin Pietruszewski.

McAreavey – “loop for i”, an open-scored work for three performers and voltage controlled modular sound synth

Houston – “7k for Bb clarinet and interactive electronics”, a computer-assisted performance flexing the outerlimits of the sound world of the clarinet

Pietruszewski – “Sheaf Navigations” for computer and multichannel sound system that derives it’s name from a systematic mathematical tool.
