Leave of Absence

Print Friendly

For students not on distance learning programmes, leave from attendance and participation is permitted in order to undertake study, research or other activities outside their programme of study, provided it can be shown that this will enhance the student’s career or study. It would be odd to grant this on a taught programme like this one, but during the summer months, it can be in the student’s best interests to work elsewhere in order to gain experience or do work related to the summer project.

Leave of absence requires College approval after consideration of an application by the student’s personal tutor, supervisor or programme director.

A “Leave of Absence Request Form” must be completed by your Programme Director. This form can be found here: Leave of Absence Request Form
